Common problems

Sound Familiar?

Most of the calls we take start with one of these four. All four come back to the same root cause: untreated concrete, or a coating that was never bonded properly in the first place.

Cracked, dusty concrete

Bare slabs shed fine grey dust onto everything you store, and small cracks widen every freeze-thaw season until they are a repair job rather than a coating job.

We chase and fill cracks, then grind to a clean profile before any resin goes down.

Paint that peels off with the tires

Box-store kits are thin water-based paint over an acid-etched slab. Warm tires grip the coating harder than the coating grips the concrete, and it lifts in sheets.

A 100% solids epoxy base over a diamond-ground profile gives real hot-tire pickup resistance.

Damp, musty basement slabs

Below-grade concrete pushes moisture upward. Carpet traps it, tile lifts at the grout, and the room never quite smells dry no matter how many dehumidifiers you run.

We moisture-test first, then use a vapor-barrier primer under a seamless finish coat.

Slippery, hard-to-clean work floors

Commercial kitchens, shops, and warehouses collect grease and grime in every seam and grout line, which is both a safety problem and an inspection problem.

Seamless systems with a non-slip broadcast and integral cove base clean down in minutes.

We fix all four the same way: diagnose the slab first, then recommend only the system it actually needs.

Why choose us

The Prep Is the Reason Our Floors Stay Down

Anyone can roll resin onto concrete. The difference between a floor that lasts a decade and one that peels in a season is what happens in the hours before the first coat.

100% solids epoxy, not thinned paint

Solvent- and water-based coatings lose most of their volume to evaporation, so what you are left with is a film a few mils thick. We install 100% solids epoxy, which cures at close to full applied thickness and takes real abuse for years.

Multi-step diamond grinding on every job

Adhesion failure is a prep failure, almost every time. We mechanically diamond-grind the slab to an open CSP 2-3 profile rather than acid-etching it, so the resin keys into the concrete instead of sitting on top of it.

Most garages done in a single day

Because our crew and equipment are local, we can grind, prime, broadcast, and topcoat a standard two-car garage inside one working day. Larger residential jobs are normally finished in one to two.

Transparent, itemised pricing

You get a written price after we look at the slab, with prep, materials, and finish listed separately. Middle Tennessee epoxy flooring runs $3 to $12 per square foot, and we will tell you exactly where your job lands and why.

More About How We Work

Licensed and insured flooring contractor

We are a licensed, fully insured flooring contractor with over a decade of combined concrete-prep and resinous-coating experience. That matters most on commercial jobs where certificates of insurance are part of the paperwork.

Finishes from workshop-plain to metallic

The same crew installs a plain grey shop floor and a poured metallic epoxy that looks like moving marble. You are not limited to whatever single system a one-product installer happens to carry.

Our process

How an Install Actually Goes

Four stages, one crew, and a controlled 55-80°F working window so every coat cures the way it should. Coats need 10-24 hours between layers.

  1. 1

    Free on-site look

We walk the slab with you, check for moisture and cracking, measure the area, and talk through finishes. You leave that visit with an itemised written price, not a range over the phone.

  2. 2

    Diamond grinding and repair

Planetary grinders with HEPA dust shrouds open the concrete to a CSP 2-3 profile. Cracks get chased and filled, spalls get patched, and the slab is vacuumed clean before anything is mixed.

  3. 3

    Prime, base coat and broadcast

The right primer goes down for the slab conditions, then the 100% solids base coat. Where the design calls for it, we broadcast vinyl flake to rejection while the base is still wet.

  4. 4

    Topcoat and handover

We scrape back the excess flake and roll the clear protective topcoat. You get walk-on and drive-on times in writing, plus simple care instructions. Foot traffic is usually next day.

The real difference

Professional Epoxy vs. a Box-Store Paint Kit

Both start as a can of resin. What happens to the concrete first is why one lasts a decade and the other peels in a season.

Numbers matter less than what sits behind them: every one of those floors started with mechanical diamond grinding and 100% solid epoxy, which is the reason they are still down and still bonded.

Got questions?

Epoxy Flooring Questions, Answered

The questions we get asked on nearly every consultation, answered the same way we would answer them standing in your garage.

Is professional epoxy really better than a store-bought garage floor paint kit?
Yes. We install 100% solid epoxy over mechanically diamond-ground concrete, while box-store kits are usually thin water-based paint applied over acid-etched or unprepped slabs. Proper grinding and solids content are why our floors resist hot-tire pickup and peeling for years.
How long does an epoxy floor take to install?
Most standard two-car residential garages are completed in about 1 day, and larger residential jobs in 1-2 days. Coats need 10-24 hours of cure time between layers, and we work in a controlled 55-80°F range for proper curing.
How much does epoxy flooring cost in Middle Tennessee?
Project pricing typically runs $3.00 to $12.00 per square foot. Basic solid-color coats sit at the low end, while custom metallic or heavy broadcast flake systems sit at the higher end. A standard two-car garage usually falls between $1,200 and $3,500.
Can you epoxy a damp basement floor?
In most cases, yes. We moisture-test the slab first, then apply the correct vapor-barrier primer to manage hydrostatic pressure before the epoxy goes down. If a slab has active water intrusion, we'll tell you honestly what's needed before coating.
Do you serve Franklin and Columbia, not just Spring Hill?
Yes. We're based in Spring Hill and serve Williamson County (Franklin, Brentwood, Nolensville, Thompson's Station), Maury County (Columbia and surrounding areas), and parts of Davidson County including south Nashville.
Are your commercial kitchen floors USDA compliant?
Yes. For food-service and commercial kitchens we install seamless, sanitary systems with integral cove base and antimicrobial options that meet USDA/FDA sanitation standards and provide non-slip safety underfoot.
Why won't your floors peel like others?
Peeling almost always comes from poor surface prep. We use multi-step mechanical diamond grinding to create the right concrete surface profile for adhesion, rather than acid etching, so the coating bonds mechanically to the slab.
